St. Therese prayer

I asked this on the other forum but received no response so I thought I’d try here.

There’s a prayer to St. Therese that consists of an invocation to her, 5 Paters, 5 Aves, and 5 Glorias to be said for 5 days (repeating all one more time on the 5th day) BEFORE 11 am.

Does anyone know the significance of the “5” and “before 11 am”?

11 am would be the fifth hour of the day.

I’m not sure what the significance of the number five is, though.

Maybe it is an allusion to the five wounds of Christ?
The five books of the Torah?
The five decades of a rosary?
The five porches of the pool of Bethsaida (John 5:2)?
The five wise and five foolish virgins (Matthew 25)?
The five smooth stones that David brought into battle against Goliath (1 Samuel 17:40)?

I’ve heard the St Teresa called a “five day Novena.” Maybe it’s for emergencies, like a short cut to get your petition out there.

Regarding praying it before 11am, I’ve heard two different theories…one is that having to do it by a certain time will help a person remember to do it at all. The second is that praying it within a certain time frame brings unity to those who are praying it.
