JReducation: Are there any differences between Mary’s humanity and Eve’s pre-fall humanity?

Mary was “Full of grace”. Did she have more, less, or the same grace as Eve had before the fall?

Were Adam and Eve created mortal or did mortality come only because of sin?

Were Adam and Eve capable of catching a cold before the fall or only after?

Was Mary capable of catching a cold? Did the Lord make sure that she wouldn’t ever get sick?

The reason I ask that is I have heard it said that Jesus was protected by God from ever becoming sick because of His mission to redeem us and the requirement that He be an UNBLEMISHED sacrifice.

It is my personal opinion that Mary died because she asked for the favor of dying so she could emulate her Son Our Lord and was granted that favor.

Is such an opinion OK? I’m not saying that the Catholic Church has officially DEFINED that Mary died–though I THINK it comes close to teaching so–I just wonder if it is OK to have the opinion that Mary died?

I’ve heard it said by some that Mary was dead for three days because the Jews thought that people were corrupted at day 4.

I wonder if maybe she could have been dead the same amount of time that Jesus was dead before He resurrected?

I also wonder if maybe Mary was dead for only 1 second before she was assumed into Heaven?

Maybe these are questions we will not know until we are in heaven.

For me personally it is OK if Mary died and OK if she did not die–I DO KNOW that she was assumed into Heaven and is Queen of heaven and intercedes for us and for that I seek her intercession and am thankful that God wills that Mary helps us and leads us to her Son Jesus.
