Well, if a woman genuinely feels like she is called to marriage and needs to be cheered up on that day and asks me to do something special with her, I can’t help but think she is saying ‘Next year if there is a man in my life, I won’t be asking you to spend time with me on Valentines day’ I want friends who are my friends regardless of their relationship status
Why on earth would you be offended by this? It’s crazy to expect that your friends should put you first before their significant others on Valentines Day. You sound almost narcissistic in your perspective there.

I am not offended in the least when women put their significant other in front of me on Valentine’s day. However, when a single woman is using me because she does not have a man for Valentine’s day, then yes, I don’t like it. If a single woman wants to spend Valentine’s day with me for reasons other than ‘I have no one on Valentine’s’ that is a different story
