Our October 31-November 2, 2008 “Come and See” Weekend is quickly approaching. I would really encourage any young man thinking the Lord may be calling them to religious life to take advantage of these unique opportunity to take a weekend out of your busy life to live, work, and most importantly pray in the largest and first Benedictine Monastery in the US. Speaking from experience, I NEVER thought God would call me to become a monk being the fact that I am a major extrovert, was a class clown of sorts, and not shy around the ladies…but the Lord called and took me on a crazy ride which eventually led me to St. Vincent Archabbey. We have a great community and I can guarantee just the time you spend here speaking to our young and old monks will be very beneficial in your discernment.
