Several weeks back I posted a thread about my step-daughter and brother-in-law both having been diagnosed with colon cancer.

Bruce (my brother-in-law) had his surgery last Friday and has already returned to part-time work! The doctors were able to reduce the size of his cancerous area and remove it without complications! PRAISE GOD!

Stacey (my step-daughter) will be having surgery early in the morning. Her cancer is much worse and she will have most all of her large intestine removed. She will have a stoma and ostomy for the rest of her life. She is only 37. Please pray that they are able to remove all the cancer tomorrow. Please pray that she will make it through the surgery without complications. She has two children (17 & 3).

Eternal Father, please make Stacey’s surgery a success. Please make sure the doctors get all of the cancer in this operation, and please give the dear girl a long, healthy, and comfortable life. Please soothe her fears, and those of her family. Bless Stacey and her family with love and good health.

And please bless dear Pam for worrying so.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

:signofcross:

And a big :hug3: for Pam. 🙂

She has my prayers. My dad went through two years ago at Christmas, too.

Giving thanks for Bruce, Pam…and will be keeping Stacey in daily prayer that her health will be restored…

Well, Stacey’s surgery lasted until midnight! She was postponed until 5:00 p.m. yesterday and it was still a little over 7 hours before they finished. The doctors think that they have gotten all of the cancer. They removed her entire Colon and most of her Large intestine. Unfortunately, she will need another surgery in a week or two. She has some pretty severe burns from radiation and will have to have some skin grafts.

More news that was horribly depressing… Last night my Brother-in-Law Bruce called. His cancer was not all removed. They have planned another surgery for him on January 3rd. He is devastated. He will lose the majority of his Colon as well.

Please continue to pray for both of them.

I am sorry to hear of the update. more prayers:
