I’ve got a question about Low Mass.

When attending Low Mass and no creed is said after the homily, are we to stand for the “Dominus vobiscum” and then immediately sit back down?

Thanks.

According to the rubrics, standing should only assumed at the Gospels from the low Mass. (This rubric was classified by some rubricians as “directive” rather than “perceptive”- meaning it did not bind under pain of sin)

At High Mass, one should stand for the Dominus Vobiscum and Oremus and then sit.

I have seen approved pre-conciliar rituals though, which do permit sitting for the Offertory at a low Mass (while stating that it is laudable to kneel). I quote from the Canadian Rituale in Quebec:
It is, however, permitted by common usage to sit during the Offertory, and, in that case, the faithful should kneel again at the Sanctus, and not at the Hanc Igitur as is done in many places;
and by analogy with High Mass, this would be after the Oremus.
