Nope can’t happen Yoda died in the Empire Strikes back.😉
Didn’t you see him glowing next to Obi-Wan in SWVI:RotJ

That’s another advantage that Star Wars has over ST. you can kill 'em, but it just makes them more powerful.

In Star Trek, you can kill 'em and all that happens is that the alternate timeline kids become Romulan officers 😉

HA I got ya! Mr. Spock came back to life in The Search for Spock. In Star Wars it took some teddy bears to save the day.😛
I will say the save the whales thing was pretty dumb.:o

You have to admit the Klingons are kind of cool.

I wonder how the demographics will affect this poll…I’m younger and I chose Star Wars. Agreed, Star Trek is classic, but a bit too philosophical for my tastes. When I go for science fiction, I just want loud sounds and cool powers hence SW wins.
Hey, I’m old enough to be your dad…sort of…and I go Star Wars too. Star Wars isn’t just special effects…there is a lot of character involved along with the more dramatic special effects and awesome fight scenes and visuals.

That’s a given, he still ended up on Romulus though 😉

As opposed to what, the legless hamsters that saved the day on K-7 😛

Yep, but Wookies are cooler still.

And I will give you that Jar Jar is more annoying than Wesley…but not by much. 😃

May the Force be with you!👍
I once heard a priest give a talk on ancient heresies, and he said that all heresies never really die out completely, and that many of them are quite popular today.

He explained that the “Force” from Star Wars is a contemporary pop-culture manifestation of third-century heresy of Manichæism (the forces of the good vs. the forces of evil).

So bottom line…Jedi Knights are heretics!

Ahh, but since they have not been made aware of the Church’s declarations on Manichaeism, they are not formal heretics, but rather material heretics.

And, of course means that when they appear all shiny and transparent, they are immaterial heretics  😛

Up until the time that Yoda stops the Enterprise in it’s tracks, spins in around a few times, and sends it reeling out of the solar system…all with a wave of his hand. 👍

He’d send it towards the sun, but he’s wise enough to know that doing so would probably cause a corny time travel episode 😛
Yoda would be served on a platter of Q veggies. 😃

Star Wars. I could never really get into the Star Trek series. To be fair - I didn’t enjoy the Star Wars prequel either.

I was extremely disappointed in seeing Patrick Stewart playing that Enterprise Captain. Kind of like using a Ferrari to deliver pizza’s.

Star Wars. I tend not to get into franchises that have all these various different incarnations Too hard to keep track of. (Don’t ask why I’m a fan of The Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog…😊 )

But what about Stargate? Of course, it has in common with SW that tendency to go overboard with the fake-Buddhist mubmo-Jumbo (that’s what the Force is based on–Lucas said so himself).
But you can talk about Yoda and Spock all you want, NO ONE has died more times than Daniel Jackson. (That I can remember right now. :o )

Just for the record, “Immaterial heretics” is my kind of pun! 😃
And I always wondered about the swords.

Well, I’ll be the ultimate heretic — I loved “Star Trek: The Next Generation” far more than I liked the original series. So, I’ll take ST:TNG over Star Wars, although I’d take Star Wars over ST:TOS.

There, now I’ve ticked off everybody.

Star Trek. George Lucas is the kiss of death. The hypothetical million monkeys banging away at random on a million typewriters couldn’t write much worse than Lucas. Hollywood needs to revive the 1950s blacklist and add Lucas to it as blacklistee numero uno.
