You evil, evil man.
Having read about it, I’m glad I didn’t see it when it originally aired. I think I would have been so disappointed that I might never have recovered. I’m just surprised, given how notorious it is, that I’m only hearing about it now. Especially considering how Star Wars-crazed I was in 1978.You evil, evil man.
Tomarin – you didn’t miss much. Even watching it with the aid of Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy of Rifftrax/MST3K doesn’t help with the mind-numbing pain of the Holiday special. How they managed to make Harvey Korman and Art Carney unfunny should be a crime reserved for prosecution at The Hague.
Best part“Chewie, we’re home.”

Wherever Leia is?Where is home for Han Solo anyway?
Well, I’m a glutton for punishment. I just watched the whole thing and…WHOA!! :whacky: I actually am still not even sure what I just watched. That made the prequels look like art. I mean they really named Chewbacca’s kid Lumpy??You evil, evil man.

How did any of the actors agree to do this? I’m kind of surprised it didn’t wreck their career.
I have to go cleanse my brain now. Maybe watching Empire Strikes Back will help.
What gives me hope on that front is that Abrams is a far bigger fan of Star Wars than Star Trek. So hopefully the love will shine through.I’m really excited because there’s no George Lucas, the original cast is back (“Chewie, we’re home.”), and there’s going to be plenty of practical effects.
I’m skeptical because it’s J.J. Abrams. I was impressed with his Star Trek movies at first, but now I’ve realized how messy and nonsensical they are. I hope he can tell a fluent story here.
That was fun to watch him!My favorite reaction to the trailer is from this priest. The pure joy.
