I was endeared to the character of Jar Jar. I thought he was like an Italian space creature and I liked the naïve goodness of the character and the Gungans as a group.

Do I have repressed sympathies with the dark side?

I really liked the idea of Jar Jar as the villain as it is great to suddenly look at things in a completely different way. I saw a similar video recently about The Matrix regarding how Agent Smith actually was ‘The One’ and not Neo which similarly came out of left field but made a lot of sense. I think I’ll look for that and post it on a new thread.

Also thanks for posting the edits for the 1st Star Wars movie. It did seem to be a big improvement.

It is kind of fun to think of things in a different way (just look for the trailer on YouTube that turns “Elf” into a suspense thriller 🙂 ). But I do so with the knowledge that there’s no way that was the intent. “Darth Jar Jar” is fun to think of as a joke, but there’s no way Lucas had that in mind. 😝

You might like this also for looking at things in a whole different way. The ‘Official’ Trailer for Titanic 2.

I would rather just go for an aimless walk than watch another SW movie or an old one again.
Past couple of days I was watching bits and pieces of the prequel trilogy again, and I must say I’m coming around to your point of view. They just doesn’t hold up anymore. I see more aimless walks in my future.
