I wonder if Robert Friedman is Catholic? I didn’t care for Joni Mitchell’s music before and I woldn’t listen to it now.

rlg…on a Starbucks thread…a while back…a poster said she had a list of businesses, products, services that Catholics should not support. And those who are unable to think for themselves were more than eager to get that list. I don’t recall that it was ever posted in a link…but I think some other businesses were listed…for everyones FYI.
So if we use a list of businesses that act contrary to Catholic teaching that means we can’t think for ourselves?

To be honest I never heard Joni Mitchell and I never drink Starbucks BUT none of my money goes to artists who slime the Catholic Churchor businesses that support abortion, homosexuality and/or a whole host of other anti-Catholic activities.

👍 and the use of others research is a time honored way of doing business. So I use the lists then look into the information. Ask and verify is good for everyone.

I have to weigh this expression of poor judgement on Starbuck’s against the jobs they provide. They do try to promote fair employment practices in the countries where the coffee is grown. Also, the opinions expressed by Ms. Mitchell in her music may not necessarily be those of Starbuck’s.

I avoid Starbucks for one reason

Nasty coffee

If it wa the best on earth, and since I am a coffee addict, they would have to put puppies in a microwave before I’d stop buying from them. Lyrics arent enough to sway me if I love a product. SB however is garbage and overpriced at that

I don’t visit often, but I do it because my son has friends that work there–all good Catholics, trying to help their families. Sometimes God puts us in strange places to spread His Word!:bible1: :knight1:

Amen to THAT. 😃
