They do. As do a whole lot of other companies. Microsoft and Verizon are two that come to mind. So if you are using the computer or telephone, you are inadvertently supporting PP.

Yes, and a portion of my taxes go to supporting PP and other morally offensive initiativees. One has to use prayerful discernment and listen to what the Holy Spirit is calling you to do in the specifics of your situation to be the light of Christ in this world. This should be a normal consequence of striving to walk in daily discipleship to Christ.

I find that as I continue and grow in my daily Christian walk, that the the HolySpirit makes me more sensitive to those things which offend God. I also realize that the Holy Spirit unsettles me in certain areas where darkness seeks to coexist, establish a foothold with out notice or fanfare. At times I feel compelled to take a specific stance against the growing darkness that seems to more boldly enveloping our society.

I think starbucks is just using controversy to get more free media advertising. Next week it will be a quote from Osama or some other sillyness. I just wish they would start making some decent coffee and stop using all of those strange sizes. It’s small, medium and large. Not tall, venti, lati, granda mocha cppachino blah blah blah.

Well I need my phone and I need my computer to pay for my phone as well as a whole bunch of other stuff–however, I don’t need expensive coffee. Doesn’t take a whole lot of brains to be able to figure out ways to cut back on funding of businesses (and PP is a business) so obviously against God’s laws.

Ditto! But it is difficult to discern what is the correct path to take. Some places, like Starbucks and Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, etc. send out mixed messages. They support alot of organizations, many with conflicting views and missions. I guess it all comes down to discernment in the long run!

Uh Kathy there are no donuts at Starbucks.Gi-normous rice crispy treats, cookies and danishes; but I have yet to see a donut. 🙂

Well now I can stop having Catholic guilt over my Carmel Machiatto (non-fat decaf).
My Starbucks have cinnamon sugar, chocolate, and frosted cake donuts. Very yummy! 😛

Anyways, I like the idea of having different quotes on the cup. Can give you something to ponder that day.

What will happen when they have the God quote and the gay quote on the same cup?
Maybe remind people that God made us all–the public and private sinners, the conventional and unconventional, the lost, the searching and the faithful.

And this is EXACTLY what the purpose is. We are all very different people. How boring would it be otherwise.

Jesus talked to and walked with EVERYONE. And like Island Oak so eloquently said : " Maybe remind people that God made us all–the public and private sinners, the conventional and unconventional, the lost, the searching and the faithful. "

Pick your battles folks…Starbucks isn’t one of them.

For starters, next time a telemarketer calls from Verizon, tell them you do not support their support of PP and hang up.
