Our parish is interested in researching the possibility of starting a Catholic school. Any information out there as to obtaining the necessary financing? Money is the major obstacle.

If I’m not mistaken, this is something your pastor will have to take up with the bishop. Money may be loaned from the diocesan account for large projects like this, but the bishop will have to be consulted first.

When the last all girls Catholic School in our diocese closed, a group of parents got together and with approval, formed a new school but as a seperate entity. This school is in the within the diocese but not a diocessen school. I believe it has its own board of directors.
To control costs, they started out by renting space in a church parish center, but as their enrollment has grown they have moved into a former parish school building.

We have a group interested in starting a Catholic HS. Our town currently has a Catholic K-8 school, but no Catholic options past that.
Is there some source of information or place which could guide us through the steps necessary to begin this process?
