Starting a Classical School

I haven’t heard back yet from the Chesterton Academy. My email probably got lost. I contacted the diocese here, and they said they were open to considering alternative curriculae, if existing models show promise. Lourdes is their experiment in classical education.

Practically, it seems that if I am interested in seeing more classical schools, I should try my hardest to support the one already existing. Maybe I can then angle and connect with other people for bringing a Chesterton Academy, and focus energies on that. Then, there would hopefully be potential students feeding into it from Lourdes, or homeschoolers.
 
Good developments. The principal of Lourdes is interested in turning the school into a K-12, and very interested in reaching out to the homeschool community. She said there might even be market for another grade-school, as theirs is starting to fill up, and she doesn’t want to do a rotational schedule.

It was a validation of things I had already sensed, :).
