I was reading somewhere online a story of St. Anthony.

It said something about when he lost his book of prayers, he prayed and found it, or something… (sorry, it was a quick glance.)

Is it wrong for us to write our own prayers and to keep a book (or three-ring binder, or what have you) and keep it for our personal use or to share?

I’ve also heard of various Saints keeping a personal book of revelations, dreams, poetry, etc… is such a thing wrong?

No, I wouldn’t say it is wrong.

It is someting personal to you, a record of you relationship with Jesus and if you feel you want to do it, then you can do that.🙂

Hello JudeAnthony. I write my own prayers in a journal at Adoration everyday on my way to work. My husband and I each have a 3 ring binder (1/2 size of regular binder) with our favorite prayers that are collected from various sources, we put these in sheet protectors and pray from them everyday. Hope this answers your question. God Bless.🙂
