I’d be interested to know what they base that on.I have had several Priests remark they believe many of the faithful are never coming back.
Well, they weren’t very faithful then, were they? It’s a shame that this virus has so disrupted those that wish to attend and so many are torn between their feeling of obligation…even it they are dispensed…and their health concerns. It’s an individual decision for each, though. Since I’m not Catholic I haven’t any skin in the game but I would think that most Catholics will eventually all return in similar number from before the pandemic. It will just take a while for the virus to lessen and people’s comfort level of attending any group gathering.I have had several Priests remark they believe many of the faithful are never coming back.
Very true; using the noun “the faithful” was probably inaccurate. People have been scared into hiding, and many are not coming back out any time soon, if ever.Well, they weren’t very faithful then, were they?
It’s the “if ever” that I think is what’s worrying the Priests and honestly, they need to be patient. It may really take a long time but I think the faithful will.and many are not coming back out any time soon, if ever.
This is something to watch. How many actually come back? I truly hope that those who do will only be those with a lively faith, or those who are actively seeking one. The Church is not helped by the presence of people who don’t really believe in it.Dr_Meinheimer:
