NO. Being a good Catholic is not about “how much you know,” (although there is certainly nothing the matter with knowing stuff). What happens at the end of RCIA is, now that you have been exposed to our customs, our traditions, and our beliefs, as far as is possible during the time available, do you still want to be one of us?Just wondering, do you sit an exam at the end of RCIA? I’m not looking forward to being told I failedbecause to me there seemsto be a lot of theology etc to remember in Cathlocism.
That’s the only “test,” and it’s between you and God. The purpose of RCIA is not to fill you up with book-learning, but rather, to give you an idea of what Catholics do and believe, and show you how you can also behave and believe, as a Catholic.
