I ask for prayers. I am starting RCIA next week. I also ask for prayers because of the changes in my life. I know the Holy Spirit is leading me to the Catholic church, but it is hard to leave friends that I have worshiped with and served the Lord with for the past 13 years. My friends at my protestant church understand and are as supportive as they can be, but I am not sure they fully understand.

Thank you

God Bless

Praying for you and your journey to Catholicism.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen. :signofcross:

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen. :signofcross:

Prayers said for you as you begin your journey home to the Catholic Church. I’m sure it’s difficult to leave behind your friends but may God bless you with their continued friendship in spite of your Church change. I’m happy to see they are supportive to the best of their ability. Understanding may take longer and come in small pieces at a time.
God bless,
Mary.

Here’s a prayer for you as you begin RCIA. Lisa.

Prayer for Christlikeness
By Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman

Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go;
Flood my soul with your spirit and life;
Penetrate and possess my whole being so completely
That all my life may be only a radiance of yours;
Shine through me and be so in me
That everyone with whom I come into contact
May feel your presence within me.
Let them look up and see no longer me—but only Jesus.
Amen.

:signofcross:

(Revelation 3:8)

From the Breastplate of Saint Patrick

"Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
of the Creator of creation. "

May that Mighty Strength carry you over all obstacles and challenges as you grow ever closer to our Lord.
Amen.

Praying for you, I hope you find it a wonderful experience and grow in your faith. I was received into the Church this year after RCIA, I’m also from a Protestant/Anglican background. It’s already been a great comfort and joy to me and I hope it’s the same for you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

You and your friends have my prayers.

“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”
“I plead with you! Never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be not afraid.”
“If He asks much of you, it is because He knows you can give much.”
