I’m moving in to college Friday. It’s my freshman year. Classes start 9/21 for me. I’m really scared even though it’s a half-hour from home. I’m scared of doing poorly in school and jeopardizing my future. I also like to keep to myself and I’m worried about getting dragged into awkward social situations. I’m also afraid of losing my faith and I get the feeling that the Newman Center at school is less than orthodox. Thank you all in advance.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Have no fear, it’s an adventure, and you’ll do great!🙂

I’m praying.

Praying for you…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*

Praying for you to have a successful school year & to grow strong in your faith.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Everything’s going to be okay (Blessed Mother, Nov 2014), because God has had your life planned out before you were born… no one’s going to get away with not experiencing anything in life… it’ll take time, but take a risk & step out of your comfort zone… when you do, you’ll see what God has in store for you to grow in faith, hope, & love since the beginning. Trust yourself to make appropriate choices that will effect your future. I’m a junior in college & remember those nerve-racking moments that I spent days over-analyzing…only to find myself worrying about nothing. I’ve changed to being at peace, because I realized that God never gave us the spirit of fear, but rather the devil plays tricks on our fears to win you over. In reality, we don’t really need fear because it’s pretty much created within our imagination. Whether you’re in doubt, lose faith, whatever the situation, give it all to Him who loves us dearly…pray & trust God that He will help you through it all. He gives us the gift of free will because He already trusts us enough to make the right decision (if in doubt, ask yourself WWJD/What Would Jesus Do…in any situation), so there’s no doubt He believes you can do this.

Our Father who is in Heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day,
Our daily bread,
And forgive us of our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Praying for you!

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I fly, I come to Thee,
throwing myself into the arms of Thy tender mercy.
Thou art my sure refuge,
my unfailing and only hope.
Thou has a remedy for all my evils,
relief for all my miseries,
reparation for all my faults,
Thou canst supply for what is wanting in me
in order to obtain fully the graces
that I ask for myself and others.
Thou art for me,
and for us all,
the infallible,
inexhaustible source of light,
of strength, of perseverance,
peace and consolation.
I am certain that my importunity will never weary Thee;
certain, too, that Thou wilt never cease to aid,
to protect, to love me,
because Thy love for me,
O Divine Heart, is infinite.

Have mercy on me then, O Heart of Jesus,
and on all that I recommend to Thee,
according to Thy own mercy,
and do with us, for us, and in us,
whatsoever Thou will,
for we abandon ourselves to Thee with the full,
entire confidence and conviction
that Thou will never abandon us either in time or eternity.

Amen.
