Does any one know when the next commission will meet?
I’m not sure about the CC-EO commission, but the CC-OO commission meets yearly at the end January.Does any one know when the next commission will meet?
in my point of view, Roman Catholics will accept using the nicene-constantinopolitan creed without the filioque as long as it is not viewed as heretical.
I wouldn’t expect that commission to come up with anything concrete the first time out. It will probably be a lot of fluffy language crafted to make everyone feel encouraged.I believe the next Joint Catholic-Orthodox Commission is going to address the primacy issue.
I’ll accept what ever the commission agrees to as long as my bishop does also.
Whether anyone is satisfied probably depends upon how one defines unity. There are different models for unity, and we all tend to come at it with our own presuppositions.I think that out of all the Eastern Churches Russia will be the hardest to unite with, but our lady has a special place for Russia in her heart, so maybe you’re right.
Don’t hold back, let us know exactly what you thinkBy all means let the Orthodox leave out a phrase they never admitted - but anyone, pope or priest or ecumenist, who expects us Romans to drop what for us is a dogma, can go to Hell![]()
I understand that the CC-OO commission meeting was very sussecfull, but I was unable to get any draft of what was settled.I’m not sure about the CC-EO commission, but the CC-OO commission meets yearly at the end January.
