thanks guys
Passus , I just checked that link and you’re right , it is different , even the names of each station are different , thanks for hooking me up with that resource , I’ll have to check it out more thoroughly .
How I came up with the prayers that I have here was off of this website
catholic.org/prayers/station.php?id=1 when I was searching for Catholic prayers , I guess this is more of a prayer type thing . It seems to connect to us individuals more , like the body of the prayers seem to relate our lives to that which Christ endured and asks for the type of strength he showed .
And so I liked these prayers and was wanting to see if there had ever been compiled by someone of the Catholic faith an accompanying list of places in scripture that reinforce that it is good to obtain these type of qualities , that they are God-like or what God would want from us / for us.
Not to necessarily see when & where each occurrence in the passion took place in the bible , but if anyone , anywhere has ever put together a list of verses from the New and Old testaments that sort of go along with the spirit of what the prayers are saying.
for example – Station 1 talks about the virtue of meekness and accepting criticism ( even if unfair ) , what would be 5 or 6 verses in scripture/God’s Word - other than where Jesus is condemned to death where these positive virtues might also be seen ?
see what I’m getting at … Station 2 talks about not trying to escape responsibility or hardship , to be self-less , what would be 5 or 6 verses in scripture/God’s Word - other than where Jesus is carrying the cross where these positive virtues might be highlighted ?
Does anyone know if the Catholic Church hasever put out anything that resembles what I’m talking about ? , to your knowlege ?
