Eastern Catholic Churches like Syro-Malabar & Syro- Malankara, which are formed in Kerala, India are in full communion with Rome and is part of Catholic Church.
Need a clarification on the status of communities from these churches outside the jurisdiction of those churches.
For example, in countries in Europe I don’t think there is any eparchies of Syro-Malabar or Syro- Malankara, but there are priests and liturgical services conducted for those communities in their rites with the support of local Latin Bishops and Parishes.
Since those churches doesn’t have jurisdiction in those countries all members are canonically under the local Latin Bishops.
How exactly those communities can call themselves as?
I noticed different names.
some call themselves as ‘Church’ or ‘Mission’.
Does it right to say that they needs to be called just ‘Communities’ and nothing else.
