I am intending to convert to Catholicism, but I feel so ignorant despite my focus of research, I feel so lost despite the explanations happen and I am trying to comprehend it all, I did the research and I still feel confused. its like I want to be a catholic , but I am uncertain…I feel sick and unwell yet I read thge catechism and feel like I understand.

Are you enrolled in RCIA? They shoudl assign you a mentor, a “Friend for the Journey” that can help you work through the classes. Keep in mind you can’t possibly learn EVERYTHING during this period. I second this. You should look for a good RCIA class. Many of us on the forums would also be happy to answer any questions you have.

You may be ready intellectually. However, spiritually, you need that little “push”. That push will be found in the presence of Jesus Christ. Find when your parish offers adoration of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Then, make time, go and sit in His presence. Contemplate His sacramental appearance before you. Place your doubts and hesitations at the base of the altar, then be as patient with Him as He has been with you. When you receive your consolation, your confirmation, you will be changed. Hesitation will disappear. Clarity will envelop you just as the cloud enveloped Peter, James and John at the transfiguration. Be patient and pray.

You are never ever going to learn everything there is to learn about the Catholic faith! There is not enough time left in your own life to learn 2000 years of teaching. Relax, you will learn some and continue until your last breath on earth.

Read the Gospels and start with the Gospel of Mark. We are reading the Gospel of Mark now in the Mass so all the main preaching is going to be on that book.

What helped me when I converted was to have a notebook where I wrote all the question that I had and then met with a priest and talked if they were not covered during the RCIA classes.

Writing a spiritual journal can help as well. Focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ and what touched you during Mass or when meeting other people. See how God leads you to get to know, love and honor Him more.
