Stay gray or revert

Raining here today, AGAIN. So I was surfing the CAF forums when I say a post from a lady over in back fence wanting to know what kind of hair color to use for gray hair.

Well heck, that got me to thinkin, I might wanna return to my dark brown hair days because I went premature gray in my early 30s. It might be kinda of fun, having brown hair again.

I asked Debbie what she thought, and she didn’t say much. So I thought I’d run a poll and see what y’all think. LOL.

I use to be mix of brown and gray, but here lately gettin hard to find any brown. :mad:

Should I stay with the gray look, or dye my hair? 😉

I earned my gray hair, strand by strand
you have your medals, I have my gray hairs, and I’m keeping it, such as it is

reminds me of Aesop’s fable about the man with two wives, one older, one younger. He slept with each on alternate nights, and as he slept the older woman plucked out all his dark hairs, while the younger one plucked the gray hairs. in a short time, of course, he was totally bald.
 
I don’t like it when men dye their hair, so I picked stay grey 🙂
 
I say colour it. You will really be amazed at what a hairdo can do for you. To see the expressions on people’s faces when they see you with a new hairdo and your eyebrows done up.

And if you have long hair cut it not to short but a nice modern hairstyle with some colour. You will feel young again. I am not saying something out of this world but something different for a change. I just had a hairdo on Sat and a cut and also had my eyebrows done everyone at work kept looking at me but could not see what the difference was until they figured out it was the hair.

I say go for it it will make you feel GOOD.
 
I like gray hair. 😃

But I don’t have any, myself. 😛 I’m only 27.

I still say colour it cut it into a nice hairstyle and put some Gel. Debbie will say WOW what happened to you!!!LOL

Do a Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt look I think it will suit you quiet well.

I will observe that when DH started a business with some colleagues they joked he was chosen as president only because his prematurely gray hair made him look more distinguished and authorotative.

for heaven sake avoid that look of unnaturally dark hair with gray eyebrows and nose hair.
 
Guy, as a 32 yr old woman I find grey hair on a man to be quite handsome, and would NOT find dyed hair appealing, not that you are trying to appeal to any women other than your wife…but I think it looks nice. I would advise against dying it. It’s one of those unfair things in life that we women just look older with grey hair and you gents look…dignified and handsome with it. Be thankful for that and the fact that you don’t have to go through life strapped up and pantyhosed:p

here are some I think VERY handsome men with grey…See you are in good company;)
 
What Shanny said. Don’t dye your hair. Men who dye their hair always look strange, especially if they’ve already let it go gray and then dyed it. Besides, won’t your guy friends give you grief over it and make you give up your man-cards?

I think in our society, grey hair on a man is seen as not only acceptable, but prefferable. Men look like they have “wisdom” with grey, but women just look “old”.😦

My husband has a lot of grey, and I would freak out if he changed it suddenly!:eek: Luckily, he would not even try to do it himself, or spend the money on a salon.🙂

I think you could just try another haircut. That may perk up your spirits.👍
 
try a temporary rinse to see if you like it. They have them that wash out in a few washings, and some of the ones I tried looked the best as they were fading some. I know the brand Just for Men has one that allows you to leave a little gray like on the sides too. But you don’t have to do anything permanent.

I agree… as men age the gray just makes them look “refined”…

Don’t color it…

Dang, Puzzle is gonna ride the fence. I did ask Debbie and she was indifferent, mainly because she changes do’s like I do socks.

Personally… I’d stay with the gray hair.

I’m only 21 and I am starting to get gray and go a little bald… but ya know… it’s not bad at all… for the baldness I just get my hair cut short enough to where it doesn’t really make a difference.

But yea, ask your wife…
 
Leave it grey.

Once you color it, then you need to keep touching up your roots. When it grows out it’ll look silly.

I think men look fine with grey hair…distinguished.

So I vote leave it grey.
