Stay gray or revert

Keep in mind I’m NOT Brad Pitt LOL but what about this look? They said it was easy to maintain, ya just put a little mouse in your hand and rub it in, and you get this tossed look, but I dunno what it will look like wif gray. I have the same kinda of oval head as BP, so whaya think?

And if I do it I gotta seek a better sytlists. I don’t have any confidence in my current issue. The stylist I’d LIKE to do it, only works on ladies, not enough money in men she says. She works in the same shop I go to. She does some really nice work judging by the ladies I see leaving her chair, and seems really good with short hair.

I’m thinkin about NOT telling Debbie, just show up the office with a new do and take her to lunch. My haircut has not changed in 20 years, she has mentioned in passing I might be due for a update.

Guy I think it would look nice on you and with the gray too! That cut is all about the ‘product’ you put in it that is stylist speak for mousse, gel etc. You could wear it un-tousled and it would look great too. I say go for it. And I love the idea about not telling the wife and just showing up and taking her out. I’d be impressed if I were her;)

Is there some way you can convince that good stylist to do your do? A good stylist is a gem. Maybe you can talk her into it. 👍
 
Anyway, yes, that Brad Pitt look would be nice. See if you cant convince that stylist to work on your hair. If she agrees, tip her well even if you don’t like it because she worked on you as a favor

I’m gonna try this, I’d do it today but she doesn’t work on Fridays.

Outside of that, I guess I’ll have to go shopping. I was sitting here trying to think of guys I knew with fancy haircuts, but none come to mind. A lot of them just get buzzed. Nobody has used clippers on me since I was 12, because I like those looooooooong haircuts.

The lady that had been cutting my hair for a looooooooong time recently hung it up, and I kinda just settled for the girl cutting it now. Been looking to make a move anyways.
 
I voted leave it gray. I am a 40 year old female and I’ve let mine go gray but I suppose if I put it to a poll that color it would win out. When I was shopping for maternity clothes last year I was asked if I was picking out maternity clothes for my daughter:D

By the way my oldest daughter is nine years old. I married late in life and I feel I’ve earned those gray hairs why not show them off?
 
Well the results are in. Looks like I’m getting a new do.

I called one them “boutiques” at the recommendation of my young niece in law. She said to call them and ask for Ricky, or Myrick. So thanks for y’alls (name removed by moderator)ut.

I saw this thread by Bamarider and said, no way did he open it. 😃

I’m as gray as gray can be, and I’m staying this way.

In fact, the subject came up this week, as I noticed a co-worker, who is older than me and had about as much gray hair, suddenly reverting.

I asked my boss about it and he said that the guy was advised by his boss, to color his hair, because of age discrimination in the workplace. We’re having a layoff and he’s being let go in January, but has already started looking for a job.

At any rate, he looks ridiculous. Even if you didn’t know him, you can see that the hair color doesn’t match the age in his face and its obvious that he’s colored it.

Then, I heard on the radio this morning, that going for a job with gray hair, is actually a plus, in that its more impressive and shows a level of wisdom. The key is to have good looking gray hair, not all wild and with yellow streaks.

Besides, gray hair is a sign of wisdom and piety. Consider the facts. In the movie the Ten Commandments, after Moses came down from the mountain, after speaking with God, he was all gray.
Then, have you seen any popes without gray hair?

I rest my case! 😃

NOoooooo not gonna gonna color it, the folks on CAF voted 67% to keep the gray, but then suggested update the haircut.

I’m goin with the tossed gray look, I’m gonna have a do like Brad Pitt, only mine is gonna be gray. Not told my wife yet. I’m gonna do her like she does me, just show up with it.
 
Well tlhe deed is done! I have a new “do!”

I went to this fancy boutique that my niece in law highly recommended. I had a appointment with this guy(?) who was suppose to be one of the best stylists around here. I told him my story and asked him what he thought. He said, “definitely leave it gray, and I suggest cropping it, taking some of the length from the sides, and the idea for a layed back tossed look is good.”

“you’re not gonna put any clippers on my head right?”

“Nooooo all scissor cut and sculpting.”

“Good cause I ain’t had clippers used on me since I was 11”

In about 45 mintues I was good to go! I had to buy this stuff to rub on my hands then through my hair. My head felt funny at first cos the for first time in 41 years I had no hair touching my ears of my collar, but still longish on top. I guess that is where the cropping came in? LOL

So anyway I called Debbie and told her I was coming down to her office to pick her up for lunch. I went home and put on my preppy clothes.

She’s been working there for 25 years so all her co workers know me. I was kinda of nervous at first, cause I was gonna have to walk through a phalanx of secretaries and receptionists to get back to her office. If they laughed when I walked in, I was gonna know I messed up.

I said what the heck, I went in like I owned the place, “Hey! How y’all doin!” “Guy!” You look diferent!" One of them said. “Is that good or bad?” “Good!” “Look here, does she have anybody in there?” “Nooooooooo.”

I went down the hall, tapped on her door and stuck my head in and stolled in. She said “OMG, I was expecting my husband. C’meeeere, so I can touch.”

I asked her, “so where ya wanna go eat?”

“anywhere you waaaaaaant”

“did I do good?”

“Yessssssssss, I had no idea you were gonna do this, Oh my I can’t get over this”

She kept looking at my head. LOL

We went out they way I came in, and she told everybody she was taking a early lunch, and her cell phone was gonna be OFF.

We had a long lunch, and now I’m big man on campus. 😉 I just might be able to renogiate the unloading the diswasher duties now, but we’ll see.

Well, my patience will be spent if there are no pictures in about 4.5 hours - I head off to Birthright at 1 MT and come home at 4 and Bama is about 1 hr. ahead of me (maybe 2) time wise so…

Okay, if he didn’t get them up today I can wait one more day but hoo boy, the wait is getting long :whistle:
