Stealing Confession?

When I was in middle school, I was in the orchestra. Well, I was in an extra music class and I would borrow a music book whenever I didn’t bring mine, and I just realized that I never turned two of them in. I still have them in a drawer, Is it my obligation to go to the school and turn them in?

How many years ago?

Are they still using the books?

If they it’s been twenty years ago and they are on another set of books don’t worry about it.

Yes, return the book. However, as the one poster stated if this occurred years ago and the book is outdated make retribution via a monetary donation to a charitable group. This was a past penance that I received from a priest in confession for a similar transaction.
