If you can’t take a joke, please don’t read this thread. You have been warned.
Taking inspiration from the “stealth Arianism” thread, I would like to comment on what I believe to be a “stealth Docetism” present in a secret “fifth column” of heretics intent on destroying the Church from within. This “stealth Docetism” appears very often alongside a “stealth Marcionism.” In fact, most of the people who are both Docetists and Marcionists don’t even know they believe what they do, but the heresy is widespread and very obvious!

Just a joke!!!
Taking inspiration from the “stealth Arianism” thread, I would like to comment on what I believe to be a “stealth Docetism” present in a secret “fifth column” of heretics intent on destroying the Church from within. Here are some of the signs:
- Jesus is often depicted wearing Roman style robes. This depiction is a sly trick of stealth Marcionists, since as a Rabbi, Jesus most certainly would have worn tzittzit on his clothing, which are conspicuously absent. Also, this depiction is a deceptive ploy of stealth Docetists since the flowing red and white Roman robes would have been associated with a “god-like” status in the ancient imagination. Both of these stealth groups are attempting to erase Jesus’ Jewish and human aspects, to make him fit into the god-man archetype of Greco-Roman sensibility.
- Jesus is depicted with long flowing hair and a short beard. This is a trick of stealth Docetists since if Jesus were truly a day-laborer carpenter, he wouldn’t have had feminine long hair, like some kind of Greek god-man. Jesus would have had short, masculine hair like any other carpenter/laborer of today. The stealth Docetists use art and imagery to trick Catholics into thinking Jesus was not really a human person. Indeed, the short beard is likewise historically false, and is a secret attempt to undermine Jesus’ humanity by associating him with the satyr-myths of ancient Greece.
- Jesus is wearing clothing in depictions of him on a crucifix. This clearly contradicts the biblical accounts, and is a sneaky trick of stealth Docetists, because to see a naked Jesus suffering on a cross would really drive home the reality of his frail and humiliated humanity, broken and defeated. Stealth Docetists want to undermine the humanity of Jesus and present him as some kind of demi-god. Indeed, those horrible “resurrexifixes” are a similar diabolical trickery of stealth Docetists.
- Ancient iconography and other artistic representations of the child years of Jesus show him with a precocious face and preposterous facial expressions, showing an unnatural and adult-like maturity and awareness. This is a subtle attempt to undermine the human development of Jesus, presenting him as if he were fully intellectually and spiritually mature from birth.
- Jesus is never depicted eating, drinking, or sleeping, in direct contradiction to the biblical accounts. Notice there is no station of the cross showing Jesus taking a drink, or being offered a soaked sponge. This is a stealthy attempt by neo-Docetists to undermine Jesus’ humanity.
Just a joke!!!
