#3) Barack Obama’s top science advisor, John P. Holdren…

"A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men.

The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births."

Search his name in google, this is what were up against, and many prominent people share his views. Sad news and well very scarey.

There’s also a form of female sterilization that I saw being glamorously advertized by a gynecologist (along the line of the way that Yaz is being marketed).

The physician scars the uterus so that eggs can not implant.

Soon we will have that with a remote control.
Then, we will be happy…

The physicians I know and have heard use this procedure, will not do it unless the female is already sterilized or the husband and it is mostly used instead of a hysterectomy. The procedure is called Ablation and is used for women who bleed excessively.

All this to say though, A very immoral doctor could use it as you have described.

Yes there are ways to cause sterilization, but the are talking about population control, like what Japan had or still has but I think they have lightened up. In China I read they do ultrasounds and if its a girl they abort, they want boys.

Japan has a major population issue. They have insufficient youth population to support a growing population of elderly. I am not sure what the Japanese govt offers for young people to have children but they do have a growing issue on how to financially support a rapidly aging population with a small youth population.

China has the problem of gender imbalance. There have been theories that China may need to import women or that China will see an uptick in STDs such as HIV when millions of single men have no spouse and look for brothels for sex. Contributing to it is the fact that many young Chinese women are very spoiled and demand to be showered in western luxuries.

I foresee a day when forced sterilization is in effect. Maybe not in 20 years but probably 50-100. We will be like China only 1 or 2 children allowed per couple. Excuses will be population control and effective use of resources but I don’t doubt it will happen at some point in the near future. Abortion was only the first step. 😦

Read history, this idea comes up quite often in poor economic times, it’s not closer to reality now than it was in the 1930s. The Gov isn’t going to do that and this person scientific opinions on how to do it don’t mean that he is advocating doing it… big difference.

might want to do your own research on this one. From Snopes, talking about today’s Washington Times article:

“Uh, yeah. That would make sense. But instead, this morning’s Washington Times article doesn’t do that research, basing its assertions entirely on a blog rant - which in turn bases its accusations on out-of-context snippets from the 1977 textbook. This reminds me of conversations I used to have with my students when I explained the difference between “original source” and “Wikipedia,” and told them that they had to actually look up and read peer-reviewed journal articles to check their facts, and they whined, “but that’s too hard!””

Read the whole Snopes entry, then decide.

Er, and you haven’t heard about state sterilization programs? What makes you think that they haven’t tried sneaking things before? How do you know it’s not already happening still under another name?

Victims speak out about North Carolina sterilization program, which targeted women, young girls and blacks

Bill Gates wants to use vaccines.

there is a big push to control the population and well if falls under the Substainable Development Program.

I heard an interview about it on National Public Radio last week. It was really interesting and sad. Some states were sterilizing people without their consent if they had a few children and were on welfare or were deemed unfit to have children. The social workers were actually given the duty of making a determination on who got sterilized. I forget what states were involved but this happened as late as the 1960s. The idea though of sterilizing people especially women has been around since as early as the turn of the century and at the very begining of the womens movement. It was thought by some feminists of the early movement that sterilizing women would free poor women from the burden of having lots of children this was long before effective birth control drugs.

The UN sees sterilization as a major tool for dealing with poverty. And we foolishly host that organization and participate in it.

I’m for sterilizing the UN and people that advocate sterilization.

I am really bothered by this statement. Perhaps you can elaborate.

Are you seeing this advertised as birthcontrol? Or a medical treatment? I haven’t seen this.

THis is called a Uterine Ablation. The uterus is cauterized while under anesthetic. Around here it isn’t touted as birth control because it doesn’t prevent pregnancy, and as my OB said, the results to a conceived child can be horrific. He uses it for excessive bleeding, where the woman’s health is in jeopardy. But will only perform it along side a tubal ligation or if the spouse has a vasectomy. He will only do it if you are less that 9 years from menopause, as it only lasts about 9 years and would need to be redone, and he doesn’t recommend that.

If there is some one promoting it as birth control, they are twisted.

Forced sterilization may not be happening in 2012 in the USA, but both forced abortions and forced sterilizations are happening in China, and Joe Biden our Vice President is cool with it.

To paraphrase Michelle Obama, I’m not so sure I have a reason to be proud of America right now… :o

And not a lot of reasons to be proud of being a Catholic, when 54% of Catholics voted on Obama in 2008, on a man who’s cool with infanticide, and single-handedly derailed Illinois’s Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA) for some 3 years, from 2001 to 2003!

I mean, let’s look at who we have in office now:

-Barack Obama, President, opposed BAIPA, said that saving a baby who survived a botched abortion would only burden the mother’s and the abortionist’s original decision to abort the baby (see at jillstanek.com/archives/2008/02/links_to_barack.html ; creation.com/bioethicists-and-obama-agree-infanticide-should-be-legal )

-Joe Biden, Vice President, on record saying that “Your policy has been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of one child per family.” (regarding China’s one-child policy enforced through forced abortions and sterilizations (see abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/08/biden-under-fire-for-not-second-guessing-chinas-one-child-policy/ )

-Obama’s science czar John P. Holdren, advocated forced abortion and sterilization (see foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/21/obamas-science-czar-considered-forced-abortions-sterilization-population-growth/ )

-Peter Singer the bioethics professor from Princeton who joined Obama’s health care team in 2009:

“When the death of a disabled infant will lead to the birth of another infant with better prospects of a happy life, the total amount of happiness will be greater if the disabled infant is killed. The loss of the happy life for the first infant is outweighed by the gain of a happier life for the second. Therefore, if killing the hemophiliac infant has no adverse effect on others, it would, according to the total view, be right to kill him.” (Peter Singer, Practical Ethics, p. 142)

“When we kill a newborn, there is no person whose life has begun. When I think of myself as the person I am now, I realize I did not come into existence until sometime after my birth.” (H. Kuhse and Peter Singer, Should he Baby Live?, p. 133)

(quotes above from thornscompose.com/2009/07/24/the-power-of-ideas-obama-peter-singer-and-healthcare/ )

So, yeah, our President Barack Obama and his team member Peter Singer agree: infanticide should be legal! :banghead:

(see more at creation.com/bioethicists-and-obama-agree-infanticide-should-be-legal )

-Obama’s regulatory czar Cass Sunstein, who advocates government redistribution of healthcare in a way that treats young people and withholds treatment to older people because they are less valuable to government:

“I urge that the government should indeed focus on statistical life-years rather than statistical lives,”

“A program that saves young people produces more welfare than one that saves old people.”

“Under the life-years approach, older people are treated worse for only one reason: They are older. This is not an injustice. Every old person was young once, and every young person will be old too (if given the chance).”

(quotes above from floydreports.com/cass-sunstein-pay-no-attention-to-my-pro-death-past/ )

-President Obama’s “safe schools czar” Kevin Jennings, the homosexual activist who’s cool with statutory rape occurring on his watch - see quote from Washington Times article at washingtontimes.com/news/2009/sep/28/at-the-presidents-pleasure/ :

According to Mr. Jennings’ own description in a new audiotape discovered by Fox News, the 15-year-old boy met the “older man” in a “bus station bathroom” and was taken to the older man’s home that night. When some details about the case became public, Mr. Jennings threatened to sue another teacher who called his failure to report the statutory rape “unethical.” Mr. Jennings’ defenders asserted that there was no evidence that he was aware the student had sex with the older man.

However, the new audiotape contradicts this claim. In 2000, Mr. Jennings gave a talk to the Iowa chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, an advocacy group that promotes homosexuality in schools. On the tape, Mr. Jennings recollected that he told the student to make sure “to use a condom” when he was with the older man. That he actively encouraged the relationship is reinforced by Mr. Jennings’ own description in his 1994 book, “One Teacher in 10.” In that account, the teacher boasts how he allayed the student’s concerns about the relationship to such a degree that the 15-year-old “left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated.”

So… it’s not only John P. Holdren… unfortunately we have a whole team of leaders starting with President Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden, all of whom advocate for, or at least tolerate, infanticide, abortion, forced sterilization, euthanasia, statutory rape.

We voted for these people! We put them into office, in 2008!

NO-BAMA 2012!!!

Well, this is EXACTLY how I’ve heard of this procedure. I’m curious about this glamorization of sterlization that this woman speaks. I want to hear how it’s promoted in her dr’s office.

NO
-BAMA 2012!!!
First of all. I’m EXTREMELY proud to be an American. There are murderers among all races in this world. I refuse to generalize. Yes, there are awful people among us, and many in power. That’s like saying Iraqi’s shouldn’t be proud of their own… 'cause of their horrifying leader. We are ALL children of God.

I will never fail to be proud to be Catholic. I do not care one bit about the failures of others with regard to the quality of my faith. Disappointed in the occasional individual. Sure. I’m not without my own failings.

There will always be failure among us. Why? Because we are human. We are designed that way.

And well… WE didn’t ALL vote in this administration. But some of us are sure standing here with a big “I told you so” nearly escaping our lips!

You know…I’ve heard this argument a thousand times but it always falls apart in real life application. I was a disabled infant and now a disabled adult but my entire life I have been described as a very happy person.

Many of my non-disabled friends routinely turn to me to cheer them up and give them perspective on life. I notice this for other disable folks too…cause you can’t go through life disabled without a working sense of humor.

Didn’t Dickens make this point with Tiny Tim?
