**Stewards of the Planet
**
We are the stewards of Planet Earth;
We take care of the place of our birth.
This includes the people, water and air
Making it better for all those we care.
God has given us this wonderful place
To nourish and support the Human race,
Natural processes helping life to grow
Incredible beyond our means to know.
Studying and observing nature and lifecycles
Helps us better care for plants and animals
Including humans around the world whole
Respecting and highly valuing each living soul.
Each human is valuable from conception
And should be respected in every nation
Treated with dignity until natural death,
Honored and respected with every breath.
Natural resources used and then renewed
Some as materials, some grown as food,
Replenished aplenty for future need and use,
Not used without renewal for that is abuse.
We should keep pollution at a minimum,
For poisoning ourselves is outright dumb.
Air, water, and land should be kept pure
Preserving all peoples, now and future.
Making a quick profit is not a good reason
For undue harm to plant, animal or person
Either directly or by polluting their resources;
Rather we should work with the natural forces.
We are God’s stewards of this whole planet
Caring for everything, whether he, she or it,
Keeping the air, water, land, and life pure
For each of us now and those of the future.
