Yes, that was my first thought. Nestle’s isn’t the first company I would think of as an example of a Christian company. Other companies on the index could also be criticized for being unethical in their business practices.

I guess deciding what constitutes a Christian company really depends on what values you, personally, consider important in Christianity.

We are all imperfect Christians so one may agrue as to the degree of prefection needed to make the list.

However, my point of hope is the inclusion of the word “Christian” in a European instituiton’s document in a continent that has for the last decade attempted to feign amnesia about how its formation centered on the values of the Catholic Church by eliminating the word “Christian” in its discourse of its own origins.

I dont’ think we’d ever be classed a “business”, else we’d have to give up our cushy tax exemptions. 😃
