I’m almost embarrassed to admit I never knew God’s plan for my life.
It’s possible that he had, or has a plan for my life; but maybe I just wasn’t
listening, or maybe what I’m doing now is his plan.
At age 75 I just stopped asking; but I do ask the the Lord to transform my life in some way
I would like to be a saint, but because of my sins, I feel guilty to ask…

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

Praying for you on the Feast of the Guardian Angels…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. *Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen

Don’t ask to be a saint. Become a saint. We all sin, some more than most. Remember Saint Augustine, bad boy of the early, growing church. We tend to think of saints as super- Christians. Many are, but a multitude are never recognized as the saints that they are. Just be the saint that you already are through prayer, worship, and fidelity. You have my prayers.

Okay. God’s plan.
  1. when you were baptized you were granted citizenship in the Kingdom of which Jesus is the King, and on earth this Kingdom is governed by his vicar.
  2. When you were confirmed you were granted the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and the Grace he brings.
  3. The Grace you were given infuses you with Virtues (permeating your soul like coffee permeates water, so it is a new thing, called coffee; and you are called a new creature)
  4. When you sin and confess your sin in true contrition, you are granted absolution, and a sort of “refill” with Virtues.
  5. When you feed on Christ’s Body and Blood he is one with you and you with him, inspiring you to know you are this new creature, as he is risen.
  6. God’s solution for our life was strangely to forgive our past and give us Virtues, habits where we can resolve, “I am going to do this next thing I do virtuously, because I am in possession of Virtues”.
  7. And then you do that next thing you are doing, virtuously.
Voila, you are a Good Person with Good Work (a person with a soul full of Virtue, and with an act of your soul moving your body in a Virtuous doing, a Virtuous Work)
And this is the person who can approach God in friendship.

God’s will for your life is not a super vocation (only certain people like Jesus, Mary, the Apostles, have special roles like that - and their roles were carried out virtuously so that we could have the ability (infused Grace) to do our doings everyday in our active lives Virtuously.
Thus, we are saved by Grace (given Virtue as new creatures, wherein we actualize goodness in the world).

“I’m going to drive down this highway virtuously” “I’m going to eat this meal virtuously” “I’m going to talk to my wife virtuously” “I’m going to watch TV tonight virtuously” “I’m going to walk on this walk virtuously” “I’m going to worship virtuously at Mass” “I’m going to confess my sins virtuously” “I’m going to pray virtuously” “I’m going to talk virtuously with this neighbor of mine” “I’m going to deal with this waiter virtuously” “I’m going to start this day virtuously” “All because I am your new creation, complete for every good work, Lord”

Lord, Your basic plan for our lives is to love God above all and others as ourselves, treating others as we would like to be treated. Help us to live that plan in whatever family, community, environment, and in every talent however limited or great.
Please forgive us where we failed to love, where we fail in any day of our lives.
Bless those we have served,
and bless those whom we neglected to serve.
Grant that Your love will heal every failure to love and serve in others’ lives.
Bless abundantly also those whom we loved/love imperfectly,
and those persons we most dearly love.
Our holiness in in Your love within our lives.

**Prayer to Overcome Evil Passions and to Become a Saint **

Dear Jesus, in the Sacrament of the Altar,
be forever thanked and praised.
Love, worthy of all celestial and terrestrial love!
Who, out of infinite love for me,
ungrateful sinner, didst assume our human nature,
didst shed Thy most Precious Blood in the cruel scourging,
and didst expire on a shameful Cross
for our eternal welfare!

Now illumined with lively faith,
with the outpouring of my whole soul
and the fervor of my heart, I humbly beseech Thee,
through the infinite merits of Thy painful sufferings,
give me strength and courage
to destroy every evil passion which sways my heart,
to bless Thee by the exact fulfillment of my duties,
supremely to hate all sin, and thus to become a Saint.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

God’s kingdom does not come with
loud speakers and band music, it
comes in the prayers we offer
in the sacrifices we make, in the
love shown to a neighbor, in the
integrity we show in our dealings.
Don’t seek great things to do for
God, just little acts of kindness
done IN JESUS’ NAME.

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
