I know exactly when I’ve reached my limit with coffee: when I feel a “mild” atrial fibrillation and fine tremors in my hands…😃
And the foot starts tapping, out of control. And your talking 100mph. All definate signs to put the cup down. 😃

Hi again, Here’s a link with the information the March show. March 9th I “think” it aired.

Anyway…

Now let’s be clear on this. Dr Oz isn’t recommending the type of coffee that most people seem to be drinking.

We’re not talking about the Starbuck’s junk with 400 gazillion unhealthy calories in it.

Coffee actually has been shown to reduce liver cancer and to be effective with—or with symptoms of—Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, Dr. Oz says.

“So there are a bunch of different places where coffee can play a role. The reason it got a bad name is because it does have side effects, for example, migraine headaches and heart palpitations.

But if you’re not having them, coffee is reasonable.”
Peace and blessings Gary,
it has been a while, i dont often get inspired for CAF but for fasts in Lent Ramadhan and Advent.
I appreciate the heads up on the study it is good to see the health benefits are available without the stimulant, fits well with the thread.
It also adds to my reflection that for me it may still be wrong using it as an occasional stimulant.
Big blessings to you and yours, pray well and stay well

If you don’t consume caffeine regularly coffee can stop a migraine headache.

There is also evidence showing coffee consumption reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

God gave us many good things, coffee is one of them.🙂

Here’s the real deal. I’m an amphetamine addict, as in I keep coming back despite horrible negative consequences. Illicit meth, prescription adderall, dexedrine, vyvanse, all of it.

It’s my spiritual belief that if you can eat a pill when you need to work through the night or drive etc. it is at worst venial in that we think we have the answer. This is pretty much a sin I commit with every thought.

If you enjoy the effects, it is or will be sinful in the WORST way. You can easily become a sociopath, it clinically induces it. Losing one’s conscience is no minor thing. A true connection to the Spirit is impossible for me to maintain on speed.

I have horrible withdrawal induced depression to the point of sloth sometimes. The cure: getting up! A brief respite.

I have been hospitalized a handful of times for amphetamine psychosis. Wait til you think your friend is out to kill you. Maybe you’re smart and get him first. Oh, he really wasn’t out to get you, you realize months down the line.

Take it from a true speed freak, currently day 2 awake, stick to caffeine. I hope I am wrong, and that I am not unprepared for the unknown hour of Christ’s coming, but I fear that I am.

Pray for me, a sinner who knows the Truth yet falls. :gopray2:
