Hi all,
My priest has accepted an assignment in another state, and I would like to make a gift for him. Since he was a great help to me in getting to know and love the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and I am quite talented in the area of sewing and embroidery, I would really like to make him a stole for hearing confessons. Would this be an appropriate gift? What are the specifications for the stole itself? I know it needs to be made of purple wool, but is there anything else I need to know? Would it be appropriate for it to be made of knitted fabric, or does it need to be woven? What about the decoration? Any help would be appreciated.
