I see so many seriously important issues needing prayers, I’m almost embarassed to ask - but I’ve been awake two nights straight over this. (It’s 5:33 a.m. and I still haven’t slept.)

After losing my mother last year, I’m now am being told that I’m locked out burial at the family grave due to some greedy relatives using extra spaces. They all talk love - and once Mom was gone, it hit. She had been assured of and expected a place for me with her, as did I. Short of losing her, this is almost as devastating. She was all I had. I know it’s just a body - but I have no grave, no resting place near my Mom. It’s like losing her in a different way - being torn further away from her. I picture so many unvisited graves and envision mine.

Please pray that God will move someone to change their mind and give me one space - and not go back on it. I don’t trust them now. And please pray for me, since I’ve had some very horrible thoughts in anger about these so-called family members.

It is a hard thing you are going through. You are in my prayers.

You should contact a lawyer to find out what your rights are. Cemetary laws and burial rights differ from state to state.

Who bought the family plot originally? Was it your parents, or grandparents? This might well affect who has the right to decide who gets buried there.

Father, I ask you to comfort
this person who has come
to this forum asking for
prayer. Remove the worry
from their mind so that they
may sleep.
AMEN

Conservative ~ you are in my prayers. It’s not enough that you are grieving the loss of your mother, now this…hence, the old saying, “would you jump in my grave that fast!” Looks like your relatives didn’t waste any time! Sorry if I’m ranting…things like this really fire me up. God bless you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

Hi Conservative,
That is really crummy that your relatives would do that, its not bad enough to lose your Mother, but to go through that extra pain is pure meaniness.

I really feel for your loss. You see I too am deeply grieveing the loss of my Mom. On 7 May it will be 11 months since she passed away. She was the only real family I had left. I do have 3 half sisters(Mom put them up for adoption, 2 before I was born, 1 after I was born. She kept all of them a secret from me. I’m not mad at her. What she did was very loving and courageous. I love and respect her all the more.) And 3 cousins, who all have families of their own. And my Aunt, (Mom’s sister),who doesn’t want to talk to me. To complicate my loneliness I do not have a wife or children or even a girlfriend.

My situation isn’t like yours regarding the grave. But the funeral home wanted me to consider buying a plot when I was making her arrangements. I wasn’t ready to do so. And still not.

Please try not to worry, everything you are feeling or doing is all part of the grieveing process. One day we shall both be better. Not 100% because with the devastating loss. Our world has been forever changed. I hope you have gone to grief counseling or a support group, if not please consider it.

Take comfort in fact that actually our Moms are in a much better place. They have it easy now. They did their work now its time for them to rest and enjoy. They,ve earned it. But we still have to struggle on this planet.

I’ll pray for you. In fact right now. Lord Jesus, I ask you to give Conservative strength, peace, comfort, patience, endurance in this most difficult time. I also ask that the family is moved with compassion and love to give back the grave. Mother Mary may you keep Conservative’s Mother close to your bosom as a Mother would for her children, Oh, Most Holy Mother now be Conservative’s mother. AMEN

As I started to write this post I started to have all my sad emotions come to the point of:crying: :tissues:

I’d like to extend to you a :console:

Heavenly Father, please comfort and guide Conservative in this matter with your eternal mercy. Amen. :signofcross:

I’m praying for you and this situation.
Keep raising it up and asking for more petitions to the Lord.

St. Jude will offer whatever he can to the Lord as far as interceding for you.

Take Care
God Bless
Pete
