What sort of spritual significance is there in this? I noticed on the news regarding the stampede deaths on that pilgramage that there were 2 million people engaged in this Muslim rite.
According to the Associated Press article posted on AOL (emphasis, mine):What sort of spritual significance is there in this? I noticed on the news regarding the stampede deaths on that pilgramage that there were 2 million people engaged in this Muslim rite.
AS another said, the ritual is the pelting of satan. What sort of spritual significance is there in this? I noticed on the news regarding the stampede deaths on that pilgramage that there were 2 million people engaged in this Muslim rite.
Is there any possibility that satan revenge the pilgrim by making such terrible accident?AS another said, the ritual is the pelting of satan.
I would think that there would be some protection fromAllah for their humbling hajj to prctice their faith and religion. I think the accidents are pure human happenings. Is there any possibility that satan revenge the pilgrim by making such terrible accident?
I’m sorry I have to disagree with you.I would think that there would be some protection fromAllah for their humbling hajj to prctice their faith and religion. I think the accidents are pure human happenings.
The Hajj Deaths…
And now 362 people were killed. Die for nothing (well for me anyway) in senseless way. Its pretty sad to see those poor people.1987: 400 die as Saudi authorities confront pro-Iranian demonstration
1990: 1,426 pilgrims killed in tunnel leading to holy sites
1994: 270 killed in stampede
1997: 343 pilgrims die and 1,500 injured in fire
1998: At least 118 trampled to death
2001: 35 die in stampede
2003: 14 are crushed to death
2004: 251 trampled to death in stampede
I and probably others would not say they died for nothing, if I travelled to something that was important to my faith and I happened to die, I would take that fate with a smile and pure concience. Tragedies happen all over the world, usually for what seems like no reason, or it could have easily been provented, it is the risk of the travel and their families may be sad at the loss but take solice in the idea that they died on the hajj and before the center of their faith. Bringing in people and building things wont prevent accidents, these are density dependent events and the only solution is to put limits on travellers, which would never happen.I’m sorry I have to disagree with you.

Supposed to have such huge event must have be well organized . Why does the Government only blame the victims by saying some of them were indiscipline. Maybe some of them were indiscipline (They indeed, should try being humble to eachother!!) but I think the Saudi government should hire kafirs or infidels who expert to build huge constructions all over the world. Maybe there is a way… at least reduce the victims.
Your reason about allah protection doesnt give any solution. You should give more attention for it. We are talking about human life not animal. And I believe if everything well arranged and managed from the government and the pilgrims’ discipline, Muslims would be able to avoid this tragedy. Its so pity to say ‘it is allah’s will or they go to heaven die in that way’ etc when everything is out of control and takes life, happen over and over again every year.
I know you would think they do not die in senseless way, it is allah’s will. Then year by year tragedy during hajj pilgrimage doesnt scratch your concsience to see people die in such way. Tragedy indeed happen all over the world but this pilgirmage tragedy is too much for me. This happen over and over again. There should have been much better prevention or something. Thats what I want to ask from a Muslim like you, unfortunately you do not see them SUPPOSED NOT died! But prefer to take is as allah’s will and its just a tragedy that use to happen all over the world. It is sad. it is really really sad.I and probably others would not say they died for nothing, if I travelled to something that was important to my faith and I happened to die, I would take that fate with a smile and pure concience. bry is actually christian, not muslim.Thats what I want to ask from a Muslim like you
I feel regret to hear people die from such a journey for faith, but it is as it is. I’m tired of hearing about African tribes destroying each other, but there is not much that can be done. The hajj trageties are caused by large number of people, just like concerts and riots, in large groups accidents happen. I am a CHristian my self, so … yeah. I said earlier that it was just man’s doing, to many people in one area and death is garentted to come, lot of life. I will say that it is unfortunate for these people, but I feel that all events in life work to the betterment of God’s over all plan, be them accidents he allowed to happen or something deliberately done for an unknown purpose.I know you would think they do not die in senseless way, it is allah’s will. How many Christians die each year driving to Church? Is that senseless? Is it the revenge of Satan?I know you would think they do not die in senseless way, it is allah’s will.
