Do I immediately look at the parts of the female anatomy that I shouldnt, without thinking about it before hand, you know, just in general.

Specifically, young women who come close to the hollywood standard. I get so angry when i glance, because its involuntary but i feel like i shouldnt have such an invlountary reaction to a daughter of God.ARGH!!!

Anyone got any tips on how to stop doing it? I know its not a sin really, but id love to stop, all the same!!

Thanks in advance…

I believe it was Jason Evert that said not to try to just stop and brush it under the carpet so to speak. But when you find yourself in those situations, use it as a moment of grace. When you find yourself staring at a girl in that way. Say a little prayer for her (especially if she’s dressed immodestly), thank God for her beauty, say something like “Jesus I trust in you”, and move on.
If you do this often enough, you will find that you turned a potentially bad situation into a good thing. I think you will find that any lust you may have will start to diminish over time if you use these situations as opportunities for grace.

God Bless

But the thing is, theres no lust or anything like that, ive managed to completely stop that. I just cant stop the almost instinctive look at breasts, bum, legs, etc…

Any ideas?

I know the feeling.

It’s a matter of habit and discipline. All the time spent lusting in days past has affected you. That should hardly be a surprise. You’ve heard it all before: when we lust, we are looking at that woman as a sexual object, nothing more. That attitude bleeds into the rest of our lives. Now any woman we see is an object. Stripping them of personhood, our eyes rove where they will, generally straight to the parts we generally enjoy.

It’s become a habit to look at women. That’s why you might find yourself glancing inappropriately at women you don’t find particularly attractive (or even positively unattractive).

Bad habits are made to be broken.

When you see an attractive woman, look away before you get a chance to see anything else. Confronted with an attractive woman? Do your damnedest to make eye contact. This will become a habit. It will overwrite your former habit of looking where you shouldn’t.

God bless.
