Amazing, but then again our Lord Jesus Christ is amazing.
 
It gives me hope that maybe one day I’ll witness signs of God like this.

We shouldn’t desire mystical experiences. When others get them, it is a great sign, but why should we get them when so many have already?

This is not to say it is not possible for you to get one. But, we should not desire it. This might be a sort of pride, and it opens us up to deception as well. I cannot say I am perfect in this, hehe.
 
This is true. I guess I’m just living in fear! Lord help me not to continue to absolutely fear everything.

I have a different take. I think it’s okay to desire them and to ask God for them, with the understanding that He might say no and we need to continue our belief in him anyway. God gives us what he thinks best, and he may not think a mystical experience is good for us specifically.

But our belief should not be based on God showing us that sign. That’s the danger, when you’re asking God to show you a sign so that you might believe. Then you’re being like Thomas the Apostle in the Bible.
