All Brazil went into mourning last November after a plane carrying its soccer team fatally plunged into a mountainside. Its pilot had radioed about an electrical failure and a loss of fuel. But this pilot, seemingly by the plan of God, had also just left a message of faith about death.
Echos of the German jetliner that the co-pilot intentionally drove into a mountain killing all 185 aboard a year or so ago. Chilling !!!

I haven’t really followed this story after the initial crash. Is there speculation the pilot did this purposefully? I hope not.

Mary.

No one has ever said the pilot himself deliberately crashed the plane.

According to the link, the Paraguayan pilot posted this to Facebook:

“Where do you look for your life? Forward or behind? May the Lord grant you the grace to leave things behind, even those which you consider precious in this life, and may he allow you to look ahead, where Christ is waiting for you, for a glorious meeting that will open the gates of eternity.”

This man posted a lovely Christian message to his social media friends before he died in an accident. Doesn’t sound like a suicide note to me, unless you have some other evidence of intention to share that we don’t know.

Merely said it had echoes, was reminiscent of the German catastrophe. I believe that the German crash was deliberate, the Brazilian crash was a case of the plane running out of fuel. Definitely not a suicide.

Thanks for your reply. I thought you probably weren’t saying the pilot crashed the plane.

Ah, I see I misunderstood your post. What a tragedy for all involved and a beautiful post of Christ is waiting for you.

Mary.

What a tragedy, but it sounds as if the pilot was ready for what came his way … pray that he is happy with our Lord today.
