A family member of her husband came into her home and bullied her, coming out with everything that person considered wrong in how she cared for her husband, her home, and her children. It left her home, all her family, an emotional shambles for days afterwards. She couldn’t shake her hate for this person. Evil had entered her home, she says. But then…

Does she forgive the family member? She doesn’t say.
She feels relief and peace, tho, because the priest tells her she is absolved of all sins.

When she says “evil invaded our home,” do you think she means because she felt angry at the relative? Or does she mean the relative herself is “evil”?

I think she means because of the hatred she was heading toward this person.
