Several centuries after Christ, powerful men sought to tear Christians from their faith in the divinity of Christ, and Saint Athanasius was right at the center of the terrible struggle over this. Now, having been a great defender of Christ, he is well remembered as a great doctor of the Church and as a father of the Church.
