They were leaders in the Communist Party in the 1930s and 1940s. He was the editor of
the U.S. edition of the Communist Party’ newspaper, “The Daily Worker.” One of their jobs was to infiltrate the Catholic Church. Seeking to change Monsigneur Fulton Sheen, instead of changing him, they were changed instead.
