The Church does not require it. Why is THAT such a hard concept?

A couple may abstain if they choose to do so, however, as I have stated about one million times, this is NOT required by the Church nor is it ANYWHERE in Church teaching. Until such time as it is defined by the Church, then people can form their conscience and choose EITHER.

I am done with this thread. There is no more to say.

I’m really not sure why this issue is so difficult to navigate. Some keep asking for a definitive answer when the Church’s teaching on Moral Theology already contains such information.
