Perhaps God in your marriage is missing. As St. Augustine puts it [paraphrased], ‘our hearts are restless until they rest in Him.’ I spent years searching for my life purpose, only to recognize that I was simply not letting God put the pieces together of my emptiness and form it into a work of art… I was looking in the wrong places, while God was desiring to be the center of my life. What a difference it is and how life can be more clearer when God is sincerely at the center of our lives- in any of our lives, He is always with us, presently- we don’t have to carry all this baggage- invite Him into all you experience & see what happens in His time… trust me, it’s worth it in the long run. Pray for your wife (if you haven’t already) that God moves her perhaps to someday become Catholic- then it’d be easier to raise your family & be on the same page, spiritually & in more ways than one. Praying for you and your family.
