Oooh, I got chills just from reading that!! Awesome!This is FAR from strange - but it was such a wonderful experience outside the confessional.
It was during Lent, and there were wonderful all evening confession dates at a local parish. They ran out of “real” confessionals, so they had little stations set up around the VERY large church with a priest in each one.
I got in a line and waited forever - then finally when it was my turn it struck me as I sat down that we were in the Eucharistic chapel!!! The elderly priest was amazing - I smiled and said to him before we started, “great location, Father!”He said that he could not be in better company, and that it was such a blessing to hear confessions with Jesus by his side.
It was so emotional for me to say my confession in front of the tabernacle.
So - while it was not a strange place, it still wasn’t exactly normal.
