Well here it goes, the reason why I sat at the computer and found this forum…I have always been afraid of religion and become so nervous that even going on this forum I feel like I’m doing something wrong. But lately I am craving the Lord, all I think about is the next opportunity to pray:confused: I know that there is nothing wrong with praying but I’m becoming so fixated on it that it is confusing. My husband will be coming home from Afghanistan in 2 months!!! But I don’t believe he will understand my transformation, he know’s I believe in the Church and go ever Sunday, but I don’t believe he will be able to comprehend where I am now in my Spiritual journey. Lately I am just quiet that even the Military Padre’s are begining to question whether I am ok or not, I can’t seem to honestly say I am ok. I don’t know if anyone will have any advice for me, but it is just feels good typing it out how I feel. Thanks for reading
God Bless, Amanda

You’ve just fallen head over heels in love with God, and you are in the “honeymoon” phase. The challenge is to attend to all your duties — work, family, etc. — when God seems to be in your every thought.

Make sure that your devotion to God is “true.” According to Saint Francis de Sales, true devotion will never alienate us from the people around us; it will make us more attentive to their needs, more eager to serve them, to try to find Christ in them.

By the way, the “next opportunity to pray” that you are craving is right now. Are you typing a report? Offer it to God. Cooking a meal? Offer it to God. Cleaning a bathroom? You get the picture. Your whole life can be a prayer if you call God to mind at various moments during the day, simply say “I love You” or “I need Your help right now” or “I don’t like this task, but I am doing it because I love You, Jesus.”

You are now approaching a more closeness with God. God loves you so and your husband will understand, remember we all go through changes in life. Godbless you and continue to do good. Amen.

The spirit breathes where he will. Pray and you will receive. Your faith does not have to cause conflict in your marriage. Every person must be free to follow their conscience. If you feel you will have difficulties pray hard to our Lady and your guardian angels for help. It will usually work out. You have problems in relatiionships at the best of times - faith or no faith. You’ll be ok. Trust in the Lord. He will take care of all if you ask him.🙂 👍
