Well he does loves me for my mind

Love overcomes all!!!
And I am with Annunciata, there is nothing sexy about stretch marks or a drawn out belly. I would love to have the belly of my youth.

For a man who realizes that stretch marks are a physical testament to a woman’s incredible cooperation with God to bring new life into the world…how could they not be beautiful?

I wish someone (my mother?, my doctor?) would have told me about cocoa butter. Here I am 41 years later and they’re STILL there - obviously, forever in this life. Well, at least the blue fades over time. I will have to say though, as awful as I’ve always considered the things, I’d do it all over again even with the same yucky skin result! 😃
yeah, the cocoa butter thing? big farce. BIG farce!
😃 I slathered that stuff all over my tummy with my first pregnancy. I’m talkin’ an inch thick, day and night kind of slatherin’.

But guess what?

The stretch marks still came. At about 3 weeks before I was due, a whole herd of them showed up one morning just like a little road map!

ah well. like someone else said, they’re mine and i earned every stinkin’ one of 'em! 😃

God blessed me with a flatt stomach at age 42 😉 . I also have gaggles of stretch marks, thankfully, all but maybe one are BELOW the belt line.

At my age, I will not be wearing those skimppy, show-all bathing suits, so no one will ever see them. 👍

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that stretch marks are unavoidable…it depends on your genes. My mom never got any on her tummy after 4 kids, and she even has abdominal toning (go figure) at 47. so we’ll see what happens when I get married next summer, and my fiance and I begin working on our little army.😉

If your mom never had any after four, there is a good chance you will not either. My mom had 5 children and is a slim 73-year old with no stretch marks. Her three girls… myself: 2 children, my one sister: 5 children and my other sister: 4 children. We all do not have any stretch mark at all and are all quite thin.

My daughter on the other hand got tons and my son as well, when he was bloated with prednisone because of Crohn’s disease. His stretch marks are everywhere…their dad is prone to stretch marks.

I do believe it is genetic and has nothing to do with the tone of your body.

Blessings,
Shoshana

I’m due in two days, and after I shower I stare at myself in the mirror…My belly is huge, I have stretch marks galore, and my belly button looks weird…but strangely, I feel pretty.

Thanks Blaque Jaque, for reminding us women how beautiful we are 🙂

Annunciata, LOL!!! 😃 They are a part of life suppose… We get used to them, but to say they are sexy???
I don’t think so!!! :o
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. There are a number of things about my wife which she HATES and which “traditional beauty” would consider to be unattractive but which I find extremely attractive and sexy on her.

If I didn’t think that she would kill me  I would post a photo to illustrate what I mean. 🙂

With my huge babies (biggest 11 -1 and smallest 9-1) I’m a goddess then! :whacky:

I guess I can understand how you might not think that. I wonder if you are conveying that attitude to your husband? And if you are, I wonder what kind of reaction you might be engendering?
I try to draw as little attention to my imperfections as possible. I know they’re there but if someone else doesn’t know, I’m sure not going to tell them.

Ouch…
Yeah, that’s what I said!

What I don’t get is how come you can’t use the same stretch areas each time? I get totally new stretch marks each time!

In total agreement here. It’s not the stretch marks that are sexy, it is the woman wearing them!😃

Peace
