That is absolutely not what the Catholic Church teaches. You might want to read The Hope of Salvation for Infants who Die Without Being Baptized , which is found at the Vatican website
sorry, but this article gives the opinion of the international theological commission on this question, and the opinion of a theological commission is not the opinion of the Church, nor a truth of Catholic Faith.
And in the Catechism of Saint Pius X, St Pius X says that children who died without baptism go to limbo, this is the question 100 of his catechism.

Commissioned and accepted by the Pope. You’re gonna have to try a bit harder than that… 😉

That was a local catechism and therefore, cannot be said to represent the teachings of the universal Church.

In addition, I found it on EWTN’s website, and can’t find the reference you’re citing. Moreover, question 100 addresses sacramental absolution.

So… sorry, but it seems you’ve failed to make your point. 🤷‍♂️

Benedict 16 did not publish the recommendations of this commission within the context of the magisterium, so this remains a simple theological opinion, and a personal opinion of B16
Quote me explicitly the question 100 of your catechism of the Pope pie x please.
Here is question 100 which is in the copy that I have:
“Where do the dead children go without baptism?”

Wow. Impressive pretzel logic. 👍

So… a sitting pope asks for a theological analysis, receives it, and accepts it. Then, he requests it to be published. And that is merely “personal opinion”? At the very least, it’s authoritative. But hey… if “I don’t like it, and it’s not ‘infallible’, so I don’t have to accept it” is your view of how Catholicism works… well, good luck with that.

Can you give me reference? Even better, is there a copy on the internet anywhere that we all can see? Thanks!

Here is a link to what I think you are mentioning (Pius X). I see no question 100, however. EWTN link. Catechism of Pius X

Question 17 on the Sacrament of Baptism states this:
17 Q. Can the absence of Baptism be supplied in any other way?
A. The absence of Baptism can be supplied by martyrdom, which is called Baptism of Blood, or by an act of perfect love of God, or of contrition, along with the desire, at least implicit, of Baptism, and this is called Baptism of Desire.

I’m not sure why you have this need to have everything stripped down to a pure black and white.
Over the years I have come to recognize in myself a kind of “perfectionism.” There’s a good side to it and a not so good side. I don’t quite understand it. Working on it. Please have patience.

Fair enough. Didn’t mean to come across as attacking you.

No no did not take it that way. Just sharing a struggle, and observation.😊
