Hi,

I am taking a class in C++ programming, and I am having a hard time understanding the material and doing the labs and homework. Please pray that I figure out what I need help with and ask the professor or tutor or someone the questions I am struggling with. I had started this class, intending to major in computer science, but it has become clear to me that I do not have the ability and comprehension to pursue computer science as a career. Please pray that I am able to get as much out of this class as I can, and that I am able to finish with a passing mark. Thank you for any and all prayers.

God bless all of you. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Hi invisiblewitnes,

Prayers said for you.

May God bless you during your struggles, and may He also provide you with direction.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Student’s Prayer
By St. Thomas Aquinas

Creator of all things, true source of light and wisdom,
origin of all being,
graciously let a ray of your light penetrate
the darkness of my understanding.

Take from me the double darkness
in which I have been born,
an obscurity of sin and ignorance.

Give me a keen understanding,
a retentive memory, and
the ability to grasp things correctly and fundamentally.

Grant me the talent of being exact
in my explanations and the ability to express myself
with thoroughness and charm.

Point out the beginning,
direct the progress,
and help in the completion.

I ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Thomas Aquinas was a 13th Century Italian Priest. He is most famous for his writings on natural theology – a form of theology that is based on experience and reasoning (rather than revealed theology – formed from scripture and spiritual experiences). He has had a considerable impact on the thinking and theology of the Catholic Church.

How about praying St.Isidore of Seville who is the patron saint of internet (computers)

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Keeping you in my prayers, invisiblewitnes. :crossrc: I was in a similar situation several years ago when I was laid off of my job for an electronics manufacturer. I wanted to get into IT because computers have been a hobby of mine since the early 90’s. At first I wanted to get into networking because that was the hot field during the late 90’s. I found it incredibly boring as a career path although I understood the material well. I went back to college in 2007 at age 47 to get my bachelor’s in IT with a focus on multimedia and visual communication because I’m artistically creative. I had to take courses in Java and struggled terribly. Flash and Visual Basic for PowerPoint were a lot better. I disliked SQL and any form of database administration. I wanted a career that merged technology with my creativity. I finally found my niche when I got my master’s in Instructional Technology. I get to work with bleeding edge technology and exercise my creativity. I now make a lot of digital learning materials, do R&D for potential online learning resources to replace textbooks, and promotional movies for K-12 education. I’m very happy. 🤓

I admire anyone who has the mind for programming, it’s just not my area.

If technology is your passion, then all that remains is for you to find your niche. I’m praying for you!
