Maria I hope that the Lord is continuing to help you, with your vision, and with everything in your life that is difficult. God bless you

Thank you for all of your continued prayers. I am continuing to have setbacks on the vision front among other things. I know God will take care of me in the end, but I feel at an all-time low. Please continue to pray for me. It helps me so much to know you are joining me in prayer and is very comforting.

Sincerely,

Maria

Continuing to pray for you and your intentions. Don’t worry, we’re all here for you!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers. They are all that is keeping me going. I am trying so hard but things keep getting worse and worse.

I am grateful everything is going so well with my left eye but the right one is still having problems and I might have to postpone the next surgery. It is harder to be productive at work when I am not seeing well and am having so much discomfort.

Things are so bad it is comical at this point. It is hard to have everything going wrong at once. I know things will get better but it is so hard right now. I try to only worry about getting through each day but it is such a struggle. I know there are many in my same situation, but the medical costs of my vision are not covered by insurance and it is so hard to be stressed about medical stuff and finances at the same time because it all just snow balls.

I know I have so many blessings but I feel so alone right now. I really miss my former boyfriend even though I know our decision to break-up was correct.

It is just so hard around the holidays. I am trying to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, which is joyous. But all of the holiday music, decorations, and commecialism is just depressing me more. I feel like it is just reminders of stuff I cant afford. This year I am just sending everyone cards instead of presents since I cant afford more, but feel inadequate about it.

My next surgery is scheduled for the week before Christmas. There is a high likelihood it will be postponed but I am praying it won`t be. Better vision would be the best Christmas present!

Thank you again for all of your prayers. It is really helping me get through each day.

Sincerely,

Maria

Maria many of us who suffer from dif. health issues understand you. I was diagnosed years ago with Recurrent Corneal Abbrassions in both my eyes, it is very painful, frustrating, and not covered by insurance either. So I feel for you, but you see it has been this same health issue that has brought me closer to the Lord. Eventhough I have my days where I totally loose my brain, but most of the time I turn it around to see what it is that the Lord is trying to teach me. Humility, for one, has been at the fort front of it all, for I have had to accept many people accuse me of not working, for being lazy. The truth is that the moment I stress my eyes for long periods of time, moving them around quickly, looking down a lot or doing manual labor that puts pressure in my eyes, I then pay a high price. The injuries are horribly painful and the surgeries even more, and never mind the out of pocket expenses. But I have allowed people to accuse me, I just stay quiet because Truth needs no one to defend her, she defends herself. No one can currupt Truth, she stands like the sun behind dark clouds…always shining bright. So if all you can do is send cards, then offer it up to the Lord your God, who is Meek and Humble. Christmas is about celebrating the freedom of Salvation that Jesus gave us. Christmas is about true Love and brotherhood, the gifts of Christmas can not be bought at a store. Those gifts are all in our hearts, so do not worry at how people might judge you for not giving them something material. You are a good soldier of the Lord, dare yourself to detach from this fear. We are ment to be free in Christ, He already paid a very high price for that freedom. Be joyous this Christmas, for it seems that it is the one that you are most prepared and full of gifts to offer the Lord. God Bless You 👍

Sometimes our burdens seem too heavy to carry but God gives comfort and assurance that He is there. We just have to stop for a while to be aware of His presence. God bless and keep the faith

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

God the almighty Father willed that all generations should celebrate Mary, the mother of his son. Let us praise him with great praise and humbly bring him our petitions:
  • Remember Mary, full of grace, and hear our prayers.
God, worker of miracles, you lifted up the immaculate Virgin Mary, body and soul, to share the glory of Christ in heaven:
guide the hearts of your children to that same glory.
You gave us Mary to be our mother. Through her intercession give healing to those worn out by sickness, consolation to those who mourn and pardon to those who have done wrong;
and to all of us give salvation and peace.
You made Mary the mother of mercy and compassion:
may those beset by danger experience her motherly love.
God, you chose Mary to be the mother of your family, in the house of Jesus and Joseph:
let every mother make her own family a place where love and holiness grow.
Lord God, you crowned Mary as the queen of heaven:
may the dead rejoice in the ranks of your saints for ever.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Maria, You are still in my prayers. I hope that your eyesight is restored in your right eye. Keep taking it one day at a time for now. Just hang on and focus on trusting Jesus.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Thank you for all of your continued prayers. I have another surgery on my right eye tomorrow. I am hoping that will be my last one. I am feeling extremely anxious but know I am doing the right thing.

This has been such a rough year, and a very tough couple of months. I hope things will be better in 2009. It sounds horrible, but I will be so glad when the holidays are over this year.

I have a lot to be grateful for and know I need to focus on that. I really appreciate all of your prayers and support,

Sincerely,

Maria

Maria,
I’m praying very hard for you! Hang in there. Next year WILL be a better year - it’s just around the corner. I have no doubt that all our prayers will help you get through this time and your eye surgery tomorrow. You will be o.k. PM when you get a chance. What is your recuperation time? I think you said it’s longer than the last one. We’re all in your camp, Maria.

Love you,
Judi

Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory Be …

p.s. I’ll be glad when the holidays are over, too.

Thank you so much for all of your continued prayers. This surgery was extremely painful compared to the other ones. But hopefully it will have been successful.

Thank you again for all of your prayers. Knowing that people are praying for me is what is keeping me going each day.

Sincerely,

Maria
