Some extremely holy people are called to do things which we are not called to do. Most of us are called to be what St Terese of Lisieaux called “little saints.”
I like the way St Ignatius explains it in his First Principle and Foundation: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.bc.edu/content/dam/files/offices/ministry/pdf/First%20Principle%20and%20Foundation%20-March%202015%20(2).pdf&ved=2ahUKEwibqv3p1_HcAhVCVK0KHf8tAvwQFjAAegQIABAB&usg=AOvVaw2uM-j24DUGf_IGGGJ3qFrX
The thing to do is to try to help ourselves and others to do good or be their best selves in the course of one’s own everyday life. More than that, like unusual things the saints did, should only be undertaken under the direction of a good spiritual director.
Keep pushing with the therapists until you find one who can help you, and look for a good priest to advise you on concerns you may have. The younger priests seem to have more education in these areas, so don’t think a younger one can’t help![Winking face  😉](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png)
