Please keep me in your prayers…Im a single guy in my late 30s…
 
Praying for you to overcome your issue with pornography. Hope you have a priest you can confess to who is willing to help guide you. Don’t give up.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.
 
Couple of recommendations:
  • have a trusted friend put blocks on your internet connected devices such that you are limited to only having access to non-adult websites. You need another person because if you do it you’ll know the codes needed to de-activate these controls.
  • more extreme version, get rid of the devices you use to look at porn. Get an old flip phone, they’re cheap. This seems extreme but your probably dealing with an actual physical addiction. Alcoholics starting recovery can’t even be around the stuff, as time progresses though they’re able to be at weddings, restaraunts where others are drinking, etc…
So whatever measure it takes to break the addiction is worth it. It will at least allow you the time needed to start to develop self-control, at which time you can gradually dial back whatever extreme measure are needed right now. Then you’ve got years of a happier life full of better relationships.

Jesus, Lover of chastity,
Mary, Mother most pure,
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,
to you I ask at this hour,
begging you to plead with God for me.
I earnestly wish to be pure in thought,
word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.

Obtain for me, then, a deep sense of modesty
which will be reflected in my external conduct.
Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul,
from anything that might dim the luster of a heart
that must mirror only Christlike purity.

And when the “Bread of Angels” becomes
the “Bread of Me” in my heart at Holy Communion,
seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Go to confession often. Pray often. This has helped me:

Daily rosary
Praying Angelus 3 times/day
Daily Examen 5 times/day
Daily scripture reading
Other spiritual reading (Saints biographies, Scott Hahn books, etc.)
EWTN on YouTube

Just keep your mind occupied with the grace of God and the richness of the catholic faith.
